Up early, homework, rural life in England..... Well I think the whole what is a country farmer thing? is the biggest difference between here and home. And the country is pretty. That is all.
Most important thing of the day. Chatsworth! It was a rather pretty drive out there but rolling hills green and trees. Now I've seen estates before but they are never the same but I'm always in awe. The skill of the carvings on the walls, birds hanging yeah sure maybe a bit morbid. But the skill and detail just wow. The chandeliers, yes the diamond style ones are pretty and look spectacular when they are lit up but the one that caught my attention was the stags head just magnificent craftsmanship. Really it was the craftsmanship of all the artefacts and buildings that just awed me, the little silver miniatures, the swords, guns, material of curtains the patterns on the walls and the paintings. Yes it's been the setting for many stories we all know but to me that was in the shadows. The gardens were magnificent as well, not particularly anything noteworthy, I've seen prettier gardens in Britain.
Long drive home, more study to do.
